| SUMMARY OF PURPOSE |
I am interested in teaching and research, and how these relate with one another. The teaching of philosophy is for me a form of research. Most of my publications link pure philosophy with classroom experience. I am particularly concerned with questions in ethics, technology and contemporary culture, and with the aims of higher education.
With respect to bringing funds to the university community, I have been successful in developing collaborative workshops to introduce Puerto Rican high school students to the nature and aims of the University in general and the humanities in particular. I have also been investigator and co-investigator in various projects in ethics education. |
